Bets

There are several types of bets that can be placed in roulette, including inside bets and outside bets. Inside bets are bets placed on specific numbers or combinations of numbers on the roulette table, while outside bets are bets placed on larger groups of numbers or other categories of numbers.

Main Roulette Bets

Single number bet: This bet offers the highest payouts, but also has the lowest odds of winning.

Split bet: This bet covers two adjacent numbers and offers slightly higher odds of winning compared to the single number bet.

Street bet: This bet covers a row of three numbers and offers slightly higher odds of winning compared to the split bet.

Column bet: This bet covers a column of twelve numbers and offers slightly higher odds of winning compared to the corner bet.

Red/Black, Odd/Even, High/Low bets: These bets offer even odds and cover half of the numbers on the roulette wheel. They offer a lower payout but have higher odds of winning.

Inside vs Outside Roulette bets

Inside bets refer to bets placed on specific numbers or groups of numbers on the roulette table. Examples include straight-up bets on a single number, split bets on two numbers, street bets on a row of three numbers, and corner bets on a group of four numbers. These bets have higher payouts but also higher odds of winning.

Outside bets refer to bets placed on the outer areas of the roulette table, such as even/odd, red/black, and low/high numbers. These bets have lower payouts but also lower odds of winning.

What you play is up to you as they have the same expected value, its just that the variance is different. This is unless you have a table with La Partage where you get half your money back on green. In this case, you will be better off playing on the outside as the house edge is half.

French Bets

You can play French bets or Racetrack bets. These allow you to bet on a series of numbers which are adjacent on the wheel rather than on the betting table.
